In mid-December of the previous year, administrator Slait suddenly became unavailable online. Shortly thereafter, several M2Bob team members, such as Pain and Fantasma, left the team. As of 12/22/2021, its own Discord server was also tight. At the same time, the website and its forums were closed. On the website, users were offered the possibility of a possible refund of payments already made.

The target of the search was the programmer and operator Bob, nicknamed Slait. It is unclear at this time whether police searched other people or a data centre.

Slait's M2Bob was active for many years on both Gameforge servers and illegal private servers (PServers). It had a fee and had several thousand paying customers. Of these, a large number of buyers sold some of the digital valuables generated by the bot and turned them into their own businesses.

The operator probably generated several million euros

Slait's income from M2Bob must be very high. Even participants in Gameforge's Metin2 forum are talking about the "millions in sales" the suspect is said to have generated with it. High income within a few years is also considered quite realistic by one insider we spoke to. Team members also benefited greatly financially from the bot's programming.

When Gameforge, maker of online browser games, made changes to the client to make it more difficult for bots to use and enable legitimate users to play their games, Slait released its tweaks shortly after. He was then able to restart the bot without any problems. Due to timely changes, the operator has been able to keep its customers in line and constantly expand its customer base.

According to the information obtained during the search, the public prosecutor's office also focused on securing the operator's illegally obtained sales. In addition, the seized data carriers will be evaluated.
If unencrypted information about team members or operators of supported Metin2-PServers is present on hard drives, significant criminal and civil consequences should be expected. Relevant forums have yet to provide any concrete indication of what happened in December 2021. Apparently, the predictions on the Metin2 scene are still in full swing.
