Counter Strike 2, which gamers have been waiting for a long time, was finally officially announced in the past months. New information has been constantly coming from the game, which is currently in limited testing and is unknown when it will be released.
Now, a new patch has revealed that Valve plans to make significant changes to the game. These changes were revealed by Aquarius, known for their CSGO content.
Competitive matches can become shorter, short competitive matches can be completely removed!
According to the findings, Valve is preparing to come up with serious changes in competitive matches. Currently, competitive mode consists of 30 rounds, with 16 wins. However, the new update shows that this number may decrease to 24. This means that the games will be shortened and the teams will win when they are 13, not 16.
A change may also be planned, which concerns short competitive matches that normally consist of 16 rounds and win by whoever reaches 9. According to the findings of Aquaris, this version can be removed completely. It is also said that there will be 20 seconds of freezetime, 1 overtime and 4 30-second breaks in select matches.
Apart from these, the Anubis and Ancient maps were removed with the update, while the fan-loved Italy was added to the game. Also encountered are character reworks for hostages and changes that allow smoke grenades to have different shapes.
